Cellulite smoothing procedures

There are three main cellulite smoothing procedures that have been shown to have some effect and that are available at Absolute Aesthetics

Endermology

Endermology Treatment

Endermology is a physical process where a specialised roller and suction device is passed over the affected areas, massaging the tissues. The suction and rolling of the tissue helps break down the connective tissue strands, and the massaging motion helps lymph and fluid drainage. Endermology works slowly and, provided it is combined with diet and exercise, improvements can be seen after 10-15 sessions.

Velashape

VelaShape is a new and revolutionary treatment of cellulite.

Building on the principles of endermology, VelaShape uses a suction massage of the tissue - but ALSO has radiofrequency current and infra-red heating.

The radiofrequency current in the VelaShape tightens the collagen in the skin whilst the Infra-red heats the tissue - speeding up the metabolic rate and helping to break down fat.

These additional features on the VelaShape machine mean that you should be able to see your end result much quicker and with fewer sessions than with endermology.

We recommend a course of 4 or 5 as a general rule, although some clients may require more or fewer than this.

Thermage

Thermage Treatment

Thermage is a skin tightening treatment, which uses radiofrequency to rapidly heat and then cool the skin, causing it to tighten. Only one treatment is normally needed and as it is a non-invasive procedure, there is little to no downtime afterwards.

Heating of the skin also stimulates the body’s natural renewal of collagen and this also helps to tighten and contour the skin to reduce the appearance of Cellulite.

Absolute Aesthetics Kuldeep Minocha

A new face at Absolute Aesthetics!

Dr. Kuldeep Minocha has joined Absolute Aesthetics and will be working at Guildford one day a week. Kuldeep specialises in advanced facial injections and needle free techniques. These specialised techniques include the Nefertiti neck lift, liquid face lift and tear trough filling.
We are hosting an evening event with Kuldeep on Tuesday 22nd May from 18.00 where he will demonstrate his ‘needle free’ techniques and explain why he believes that less is more, in the art of facial aesthetics. It will be a small, informal event and numbers will be restricted - please call 01483 477 189 to confirm your place.

Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra Case Series

Absolute Aesthetics are looking for volunteers to take part in a case series to treat Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra. This condition is a common disorder which normally develops in adolescence on black skin and is identified by smooth, dome shaped, brown to black papules seen mainly on the cheeks, neck and upper chest.
